APRIL FIERCE FEMALE

MIRANDA BURTON

THE POWER OF AN E.A.R.

(Empowerment, Awareness, & Recovery)

To do our small part in supporting National Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Month, we are honored to introduce to you our April Fierce Female, Miranda Burton.

Founder and president of Marion’s House Survivors, a “non-traditional organization providing revolutionary services to those impacted by cycles of child sexual abuse”, Miranda not only shares her own personal story and experience, but is willing to use it in order to help others navigate through the aftermath of their own experience with abuse.

Marion’s House Survivors is all about offering an E.A.R - empowerment, awareness, and recovery, in ways all their own. Music therapy, rhythmic stepping, creative arts therapy, poetry facilitation, basic computer instruction, tutoring, and group therapy sessions are just some of the amazing programs they offer, designed to help both survivors and those close to them not only overcome the adverse effects of abuse, but to heal and even thrive.

Again, we are honored to have Miranda on our Fierce Females roster for so many reasons. Some people leave work without having any idea what an incredible impact they have made on the lives of others; so, to Miranda we say…. We see you, girl. And we thank you for all that you do. You are your own breed of FIERCE!
